Climate Finance for Indigenous People

Transcript

So now I think it’s necessary for a clear commitment from the climate space for what percentage of climate finance should go to Indigenous people. And I believe if you look at the map, almost 40% of the terrestrial world is stewarded by Indigenous people, so it should be 40%. The aspiration should be that 40% of climate finance goes directly to Indigenous Peoples.

A clear commitment is needed for the allocation of a specific percentage of climate finance to Indigenous communities.
