Jennifer Tauli Corpuz, from the Kankana-ey Igorot Indigenous People of Mountain Province in the Philippines, is a lawyer by profession. She is the Director for Policy of Nia Tero, a US-based foundation that works alongside Indigenous Peoples to secure Indigenous guardianship. She is a policy advisor to Tebtebba – Indigenous Peoples’ International Center for Policy Research and Education. She was the 2012 Indigenous Intellectual Property Fellow at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and was involved as a negotiator and expert for the International Indigenous Forum on Biodiversity (IIFB) on the Nagoya Protocol on Access and Benefit-Sharing.
