OUR VILLAGE is a convening, cultural hub, and immersive experience, bringing indigenous peoples, communities of color, and grassroots voices to the forefront of the UN Climate Action Summit.

All around the world, local communities are responding to climate change with powerful resilience, innovative action, and a spirit that can profoundly impact our world. OUR VILLAGE brings this spirit to New York City in September, and invites people from all walks of life to belong to a community inspired by justice and our connection to the earth.

One of the problems we face now is the crass individualism that are being promoted. You know as an autonomous individual you don’t care what happens to your neighbor or your environment and that I think is one of the major problems that the world faces now and I think values of Indigenous Peoples in terms of solidarity, collective living and behaviors as well as reciprocity, linking very closely with the Earth… these are the values people should really learn about
