Indigenous leaders are urging Governor Hochul to sign The New York Tropical Deforestation-Free Procurement Act (S.4859/A.5682). “As Indigenous Peoples, we are taking care of our Mother Earth. It’s not just for us, but for all of us. Us and you Indigenous Peoples across the globe and global citizens, including the citizens in the global north, we have to stop deforestation together.” Rukka Sombolinggi, AMAN

It’s now up to Governor Hochul. By signing the New York Tropical Deforestation-Free Procurement Act, the state of New York will become a global leader in the fight for climate and justice.
